Tonight? Tonight was going to be a special kind of night.
It had started fairly typical, what with the working late; Priya and Tony offered to take Allie for the night, just to help out (and because Priya had some pretty correct suspicions based on the way Bennett had reacted that morning when asked if they had any exciting plans for the night) and by the time Topher and Bennett got home, it was seeming like maybe it would wind up more "cuddle and then crash while watching sci fi" than anything else.
Bennett had other things in mind, though. Things that began with "okay, wait in the other room for ten minutes and then you can come in." Things that she was intentionally being as coy as possible about. Things that she really hoped wouldn't be ridiculous.

True to her word, though, the second she sees his hands lift, she pulls back. It's so, so difficult for her, but like hell she's admitting it.
After a good few seconds of just staring at him, not quite glaring so much as daring, she repositions herself just long enough to put his hands back where they belong. "Told you," she mutters, even though it sounds less forceful and more like she's forcing herself. "There's time for everything, so just -- just stay."
Yeah, there's probably a sexier way to say that, but she'll go with it. She lowers herself back down to get to it -- she gave him a warning, all right, and if he knows what's best for him. Surprisingly, she really does want him to make it, and provided he plays nice, she totally does intend to see it through.
